Implementation of an Enrolment Scheme at Roslyn School
To avoid overcrowding, or the likelihood of overcrowding, the board of Roslyn School has implemented an enrolment scheme that has been developed by the Secretary for Education. Under this scheme, students will be entitled to enrol if they live within the home zone. The enrolment scheme, which includes a precise description of the home zone, may be viewed at the school office
and on the school website.
The enrolment of out-of-zone students is governed by the provisions of the Education and Training Act 2020.
Enrolment at Roslyn School for 2026
Out of Zone Enrolment
We have four out of zone intakes per year. The School Board in collaboration with the principal will determine how many out of zone spaces there will be for each intake.
The ballot dates are as follows:
20 March 2026 (for Term 3 2026) - Roslyn School will be taking zero out of zone enrolments for Term 3 2026
12 June 2026 (for Term 4, 2026)
11 September (for Term 1, 2027)
13 November (for Term 2, 2027)
Parents will be informed soon after the ballot if their application has been successful or not.
Ministry of Education priorities exist in deciding who is offered a place.
Applications for out of zone enrolment will be processed in the following order of priority:
This priority category is not applicable to Roslyn School as we do not run separate special programmes here
Applicants who are siblings of current students
Applicants who are siblings of former students
Any applicant who is a child of a former student of the school
Any applicant who is either a child of an employee or Board Member
All other applicants
If there are more applicants in any of these priority groups than there are places available, selection within the priority group will be by a ballot.
