Starting School at Roslyn
Starting school is a milestone in a child’s life. It is a very special and major event for Parents and Whānau, too. The following information will help you with an easy transition to school for both you and your child. It will inform you of some of the wonderful opportunities our students have at Roslyn School.
When your child starts school they will start in Room 1 and become a member of Te Tipu Ora which is the name of our junior team from New Entrant to Year 2 tamariki.
Our fabulous and friendly teachers in our NE/Y1 learning space will be Tammy How who works Monday - Thursday and then on the Friday your child will have the amazing Tara Bignold. They are both experienced junior teachers and are there to support you and your child on their journey to starting school.
Whaea Amy Guerin is the Team Leader of Te Tipu Ora and she teaches in Room 3. She also has a wealth of experience and knowledge and is always available to have a chat with, if necessary. We welcome you to our whānau, to our school community, to Te Kura o Roslyn.
